'We investigate the patterns and mechanisms of genomic variation in disease'

Dr. Jorge Zamora | Bioinformatician

jorgeaurelio.zamora@usc.es

My interest in bioinformatics started around 2006 just after my PhD in phylogenetics at UCM, when parsing text files became a necessity for me. Since then I have been trying to develop myself as a more complete bioinformatician, and while doing so I had the opportunity to work on projects at the National Blood Service, EBI, Sanger Institute, CNIO, CNIC and now University of Santiago de Compostela. In my free time I play guitar in a surf band and also love breakdancing.
